Olympus OMD

Postby edwat » Sat May 19, 2018 11:03 am

I've spent hours and cannot get either of my cameras (bot on supported list) to connect. Can anyone help me out, there must be something I'm doing wrong. I turn on wifi on the camera, join the olympus in settings wifi, the wifi booth software just looks for camera continuously but cannot see/connect

Hmm that is strange. Does it connect to the official app that Olympus provides?
Is the firmware updated to the newest version?

I tested both the E-M1 mk2 and the E-M5 mk2 today.
Both cameras connected ok, and took photos ok. The E-M1 mk2 was very slow, but that might have been the specific camera I was using or the wifi environment being very noisy. The E-M5 mk2 performed much better.

If you are having issues connecting these cameras the please try this before connecting wifibooth:
1) format the card in the Olympus camera itself
2) take at least 1 photo in the same camera
3) now turn on wifi and connect wifibooth.
Did that fix it?

It did, I think I still needed to go to settings and reset wifi booth to original, and once connected change some settings to get better performance.

Thanks
