After printing via airprint over same wifi network, app successfully prints. But printer locks up. Says busy.

Hmm what happens if you connect the printer to your iphone hotspot and your ipad too, any difference?
And what settings did you choose for paper size and dpi?
Make sure downsize to print resolution is turned on
