Hi,
I purchased my Eye-fi pro card a while ago (±3 years) and all was well. However, three months ago I've upgraded to a new smartphone and was naively looking for the eye-fi app to download it... that's when I learned that meanwhile there was a decision to drop support for the card.
Ever since, I was trying to re-configure the card once again so that I could use in Direct Mode (which is the only mode that I've used it anyhow).
- I've replaced my desktop since then as well so I don't have an existing installation of the eye-fi desktop edition which is actually well configured and is working.
- The original EyeFi desktop application is no longer functional as it immediately alerts that it cannot reach eye-fi servers and then shuts down
- The Keenai app & desktop application both reject my card saying that it is no longer supported.
- Was looking around the internet for the Mac (I've got a Mac) utility X2 application that should save me... it was tough as all links are broken but then I found it somewhere in the web... downloaded it but it breaks just like the original EyeFi desktop application meaning it immediately alerts that it cannot reach eye-fi servers and then shuts down
- I don't have the (damn) upload key and couldn't find any way to get a hold of it although I know (according to the forums) that once I have it, there are several alternatives which should be able to revive the wifi ability of the card for direct mode (which is what I'm looking for)...
so, really, any help would be very much appreciated.
thanks in advance,
GB.

Hi there,
Which is the eyefi card you have exactly? Is it the X2 Pro or something else?

I have the same trouble when Eye-Fi stopped supporting. My card is X2 Pro.

Re: Bricked Eye-fi Pro card
Hmmm. Are you able to check what version of the X2 Utility you got? I have 1.0.2 running on my macbook and it seems to be working. If you can't find this version maybe I can just send you mine.

Re: Bricked Eye-fi Pro card
looks like mine is 1.0.1... when looking for 1.0.2 I hit several dead links such as: https://en.freedownloadmanager.org/mac- ... 1.0.2.htmlHmmm. Couldn't find 1.0.2 version elsewhere and so, it would be absolutely awesome if you could share with me 1.0.2 version.

First, thank you very much for the link
Unfortunately, it led to the same outcome...see attached image.
Any idea how to overcome this would be very much appreciated.

Re: Bricked Eye-fi Pro card
Sorry I have no clue.
Eye-fi cards are going the way of the dodo: all cameras have built-in wifi now. Soon there'll be no reason to have eyefi...
