Wifibooth isn't doing any backup, no. But I'm guessing maybe you have iCloud Photo sync or iCloud Photo library turned on, and these photos are backed up from your camera roll (photos app) to iCloud?

The Google Photos API has rate limits. The app is already hitting them. That's why 5 sec is minimum. The 10s or longer time period is how long you're waiting for the actual photo to download: <shows photo> -- 5 seconds --> <start retrieving next photo> --- photo is retrieving --> <photo displays> .....

Good news. I have released an update that fixes the BT Remote / volume up. You must be running iOS 17.2 or newer. Apple has released a new API that allows you to use the volume up like this, but they only released it in iOS 17.2.
