It sounds like an iOS airprint --> printopia issue.
If you're not already, i'd suggest using the "Manual Airprint" option when you add the printer and see if that helps. It could be that Apple has changed something in an iOS update that printopia doesn't like...

Glad you figured it out. It could be that you added a custom scene, and the photo you used for the scene is too high resolution. That can cause the black photo issue.

Hi are you shooting just using wifibooth, on one device?
If so please try turning off sceneselect if it is on.
If you have not rebooted the device in a while please turn it off and on again.

also please try restarting the app (force quit it) in case it's in some bad state

Hmm, with Wifibooth you might have:
- set up dropbox on the iPad (upload) & Mac (sync/download)
- set up iCloud photo sharing so that your camera roll is sync'd - Wifibooth saves all photos to the camera roll
- done something fancy with FTP (unlikely!)

This is not possible per the Google Photos API.
