Re: Transitions

At the Moment transitions are on the roadmap but no plan for when to build it. Yes shuffle works better than liveframe, please see other posts here for how shuffle works .... basically at tbe beginning while the app is slowly crawling your library it will be pseudorandom... then after it has finishe...

Re: Using mutiple instanses of wifibooth and sololink

If the ipad has a headphone jack (old style), you can plug in those headphones that have the volume up/down button, and use the vol up button which wifibooth listens to for triggering

Re: Using mutiple instanses of wifibooth and sololink

Correct, but Bluetooth IS required for printing via sololink, which is the thing most people use it for!
Glad it works for you!

Re: Using mutiple instanses of wifibooth and sololink

Hmm - difficult. This is not something we designed it for. One thing you could try is turn off bluetooth on ALL devices, and make sure each pair of devices is on separate wifi networks. Before you go thru too much hassle to try this, just try it on one pair first bc i cannot remember if wifibooth wi...

They are added automatically, but it can take up to 12 hours for them to show up. It's faster with shuffle turned off

Re: Unable to Unlock Premium

Hi StPeteM
You are welcome, no problem.
You only have to pay once per AppleID or AppleID family group. Just use the "Restore purchase" link/button when you're signed in as the same AppleID that paid for it

Re: Unable to Unlock Premium

You purchase premium in the app, where the settings for slideshows are.
The fastest auto change speed depends on the source, are you asking about google photos?

Re: Unable to Unlock Premium

Hi StPeteM,
The app does have a one-time fee to upgrade to premium, which allows photos to be changed faster than 5 minutes.
Did you think it was a subscription?

Re: Updating new Photos from google

Hi Pino, It is happening in the background, if you are using the same album or collection since the slideshow was started. Please note that it can take up to 12 hours for the new changes to get picked up: we're not allowed to put heavy loads on google's servers, so the app does not aggressively chec...

Re: favorites in google

You're welcome.
It's fine to ask here, it's not a busy forum.
As far as I can remember, family sharing is allowed by default for regular (non-subscription) purchases such as Soloslides premium, and I certainly did not disable it / disallow it. So it should work fine (but I have not tested it)

Re: favorites in google

Hi there,
Unfortunately the API (what Google gives third-party developers like us to let us access Google Photos on your behalf) doesn't give any apps access to that.
You can see the API docs here if you're the kind of person who can/wants-to read them :D

Re: users controlling the iphone/ipad running wifibooth

Hi Ed, Hmm, are you maybe using SoloLink on the iPhone as the camera? or what camera are you using, the ipad camera? Siri interrupts all connections because she interrupts the app itself, so Siri only works with the iPad camera If you are using Sololink then that explains why you can't connect to wi...

Re: users controlling the iphone/ipad running wifibooth

Hi Ed,

Apologies that it isn't working. That functionality may have issues in iOS 14, i'll need to check it out.
That particular functionality does need an iPad on the wifibooth side.

Re: users controlling the iphone/ipad running wifibooth

Hi Ed, Yes this should work. You'll need iOS 12 or newer on both the iPad and iPhone, and a copy of wifibooth on the iphone too; finally, you'll need to make sure both devices have bluetooth and wifi turned on. It's ok if bluetooth/wifi are not connected to anything but they must be turned on. Then ...

Re: privacy and data

Yes, correct - photos are loaded from google's server onto your iOS device. Not transmitted to anywhere else. Same for the metadata. There is anonymous info collected, like how many photos were displayed in a long time period (ie. weeks) so I can see how the app gets used across multiple users, but ...

Re: privacy and data

Hi Rob, Good questions. I believe our privacy policy answers them but to be honest it is some years since I wrote it, so i'll just give you the tl;dr here! Soloslides uses the official Google Photos API: your password is never entered into our app or our webserver (it's google's server via standard ...
