Re: Canon Eos M5
Oh interesting. That packet trace you sent shows that Wifi Booth finds the camera, sends an init packet to it, and the cam sends back init fail. I can see why too. OK as soon as testflight build gets apprvoved i can send you a build to try.

Thanks i'll look at the trace.

Re: Canon Eos M5
Hi Christian Yup if you could take a wireshark of wifibooth failing to do anything to the camera that'd be helpful. I already started stuff with Apple to get to the point where I can send you a test build -- it takes a few days because they have to approve things... But I haven't yet discovered why ...

Not sure if you missed my last post?
Great you got it working!
In the event there is a setting "mirror photos", you can turn it off.

Re: Canon Eos M5
Thanks.
A question about the M5: when you tell it to change its wireless settings and you have the camera waiting for wifibooth to connect to it, does it ever find wifibooth and ask you if wifibooth is allowed to connect to it?

Re: Canon Eos M5
Great! Here's the exact trace I need: start state: app not connected (start recording) 1. cause canon app to connect to camera 2. go into remote mode, ie. seeing live view from camera 3. using canon app, trigger camera to take one photo. Be careful not to cause any extra commands to occur 4. wait 3 ...

Re: Canon Eos M5
Yes, live-view should be possible. Live-view works fine with my Canon 750D. I'm glad Wifi Booth doesn't crash like shuttersnitch ;) Please open a terminal and check if the command rvictl is available. If not, please install XCode, then run this at the terimal: xcode-select --install Then check again...

Re: Canon Eos M5
Hi Christian Sorry to hear it doesn't work with the M5. I'm not surprised though: Canon changes their protocols with every camera. This is quite silly of course. If you're technical enough to get traces from the canon app talking to your camera, I could possibly use those to make the app work with y...

Hi Rouven
Thanks for your feedback. Those things are all under consideration for the next major version of the app, version 4.0.
Regarding the amount of time the fullscreen preview of the just-taken photo shows: would you adjust it to show for longer, or shorter?
thanks

Re: Unable to purchase PRO subscription
OK i'll dig into this tonight - can you please tell me the country your Apple ID is registered in (the Apple ID you are trying to make the purchase with), the currency you are seeing in the wifibooth app, and the country where you are while you're trying to buy the app? Example: your account is in U...

Woah. That's the worst!
Please check one thing for me: go to settings, general, restrictions -- any chance in-app purchases are restricted?

Re: Pre-Sales Questions
Hi Matt The reason that the app is free is so that you can try it yourself and get all the answers to your questions. You only pay to remove watermarks. All functionality can be tried free, indefinitely. I use a simple tripod and ipad stand on a table for portability reasons. Others have built all-i...

Sorry I still haven't managed to find someone to make me professional videos -- working on it. You do not have to buy a camera, you can rent one. Or if you live in North America you can waltz into a best buy with your ipad, and play with the wifi cameras on display with the app -- the camera can gen...

Re: Need help...
The eyefi card is an SD card - it will only transfer static photos, and it's not easy to set up. You won't get streaming video (live preview), and you cannot trigger the camera from an SD card either. Grab a DSLR that has wifi builtin, and it'll all work much better. Canon's implementation of wifi i...

In the latest releases of WiFi Booth (3.4.0) and BluePrint (1.0.8) some bugs are fixed that might cause this. Please update both apps.

Re: WIFI BOOTH CAMERA COMPATIBILITY LIST
Hi pj72791,
Sony cameras that can run the Sony "Smart Remote" app on the camera are compatible with WiFi Booth. Im not sure if the AS20 can run this app, but if so, it should be supported.

Uh oh, that's not sounding good. I'm assuming you have the black eyefi Mobi PRO card right? I don't have other ideas, but since you already tried a separate wifi network and also tried hard rebooting the ipad, I am wondering if the upload key you got is somehow from another card... could it be that ...

Re: Using External camera
Hi Tam You are welcome :) At the moment the iphone app when acting as a remote for the ipad does not send photos, it only receives them. Try it out it is free to play with. If you want users' photos to show up on the ipad, that is what the Twitter integration is for: get your guests to tweet photos ...
