Re: How to print square
Hi MrX8503, Good news, even better news, and bad news. The good news is that I believe I built exactly what you've asked for into version 2.0 of WiFi Booth. The even better news is that 2.0 was finished in January, and already approved and released by Apple on Feb 2 (6 days ago). The bad news is tha...

Hi jimdhaem, merryn, and bclsu16 -- the WiFi Booth 2.0 has been released, and it contains the custom watermark feature you asked for. Feedback welcome, but please use a new thread for it. As always, update from the app store...

Re: FTP Server
Hi John, This feature works in trial mode (with watermarking of course). By default, WiFi Booth runs its FTP server on port 2121, with username and password both as "wifibooth". To change the port or username or password, go to Settings app, Wifi Booth. Please note the port must be larger than 1024....

Re: How to print pictures in a strip
Hi Merryn
Do you have a strip printer?
If yes, then make sure the resolution you are printing at (settings app -> wifi booth) matches what the printer expects.
If not, what paper size are you printing on? And are you expecting that there are two strips on a page or just one?

Re: Logo the event
Hi Merryn, I finished developing this feature (custom watermark) a couple of days ago. My trusted beta testers received the build today. You should receive the update (via App Store as usual) sometime end of Jan / beginning of Feb. I can't promise when, but I can promise before your wedding. I sure ...

Re: Can't Connect
Hi Merryn
Did you follow the instructions here, using infrastructure mode on your camera? http://thewifibooth.com/article/connectbuiltin-canon/
If so, please show me what the back of your camera looks like when you are waiting for it to connect.
Thanks
tim

Hi bclsu16,
At the moment the camera shutter is not controlled by the ipad. I suggest you look into getting a remote to trigger your camera. I use the Phottix Plato, cheap and easy.

Re: How to print square
Thanks for the compliment. One question about how you want to use the Selphy to make square prints: do you intend to have guests use scissors to cut the photos into squares? or you have someone (ie assistant) standing at the booth who does this? Or does selphy now have square paper available?

Sorry, at the moment this isn't supported. It is on the list of features to be built. I'm actively working on the wifi booth now and hope to bring an update at the end of January. I'm not sure if square printing will be in it, but i'll try to post back here to let you know

Re: Can not get camera with eye fi to connect.
If your eyefi card, ipad, and computer are on the same wifi network, then please make sure your computer is off when you're trying wifibooth. Otherwise your computer will steal the connection. Make sure your camera is sending JPG not RAW, and not massive 50MP jpgs (1800x1200 is enough). If that stil...

Re: Can not get camera with eye fi to connect.
Hi bclsu16, It sounds like what is happening is that the official Eye-Fi app is still running in the background on the iPad while wifibooth is running -- it must not. You need to kill the official eye-fi app, power off the ipad, power the ipad back on, and launch Wifi booth. Do not launch the Eye-Fi...

Great, thanks Jenn for letting us know. To others with problems getting the Eye-Fi key: please make sure that before you attempt to get the key, that the computer has already successfully transferred photos from the card (using the eye-fi software). In other words, don't just install the eye-fi soft...

Re: How much does it cost
Hi Kristin
The price depends where you live (as with all apps). Currently in Canada/USA it's about $50 (set to go up next year). Renting the app for 1 week is about $7. Watermarking with own logo is the next feature that will get developed (no timeline available yet)
thanks

Hi Adrian
Please make sure you've successfully transferred some photos from the eyefi card to the computer, before you attempt to get the key. That has been the problem a few times. If you still have issues please try reinstalling the eyefi software.

Hi Jak,
I just sent you an email. You need to use the "Restore Purchase" button on the settings screen (where you bought the app). Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID that you used when you purchased the app
cheers

Hi Garett sorry for the delay. Here's a quick recap so far: 1) you made me aware of the issue (ages ago) 2) I made a version with more logging for you, so I could find the bug 3) Apple rejected the update, due to the way Instagram photos are handled -- regardless of the fact that the update had noth...

Re: HELP with PRINTER
Hi, if you're referring about the eyefi software then I believe that it would be fine: you'd use their computer to configure your card. Then you'd deinstall the software from their computer. Your card should still be configured.

You're welcome. I know what it's like when the event is tomorrow, and stuff's not working... With EyeFi Mobi Pro you need to stick the card into your computer, start up the mobi pro software, and configure the networks the card can access. You can find details for how to do this at http://eye.fi -- ...

Re: HELP with PRINTER
If you are using the Eyefi card as the hotspot, then you cannot use internet features like Instagram or Dropbox. You also almost certainly cannot print, because the printer will keep losing the connection. It is highly recommended that you do NOT use the EyeFi to generate the hotspot. Connect to a r...

I've never heard of this problem before so I need some more information to help you.
First, did you try deleting the app, installing it again from the app store, and trying again?
Assuming you did, can you please write me exactly what the error message is?
thanks
