Is Soloslides effectively dead? It was working beautifully until today, May 05, 2025.

Specifically, the photoslibrary.readonly scope will be removed after March 31, 2025.
This means apps will no longer be able to access a user's entire Google Photos library without user-initiated selection.
As a result, apps that rely on this scope will need to be updated to use the new Google Photos Picker API for accessing user photos.

The new Picker API requires users to explicitly select the photos or albums they want to share with the app.
This change is part of broader updates to the Google Photos APIs, which prioritize user privacy and control over their data.

So is Soloslides going to be updated for the above?

No- people arent going to tap the screen 20,000 times to pick their 20,000 photos. I doubt it even works for that many. There are a ton of rules around this API that their rosy docs dont show. And i dont have time to change the app at the moment
