Canon 6d Slow stitch and lagging live view mode.

Hi there,
I am using Canon 6d and Ipad pro A1670.
Before I can purchase the software I am using a trial version.
Everything is working perfectly fine apart from two issues.
1, Live view mode while taking picture on ipad is very slow and lagging.
2, It takes around a minute to get the pictures stitched into a collage unless I change my camera image quality settings to S3 which is lowest quality (300k)
Is there any way to take pictures in S2 quality please.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,
Neil.

Hi Neil,
I'm afraid slow live-view is a problem with the Canon 6D -- if you use the official Canon app you'll see the same problem there too.
But you should definitely be able to take photos on any S or M setting with quick transfers, so i'm not sure what's happening there. How are you connecting the wifi: are you connecting through a home wifi router? What happens if you connect the wifi of the ipad directly to the camera?

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your reply.
I am using the software by connecting iPad to the Canon via wifi.
I have to buy a new camera for my Photo Booth.
Can you please suggest me any canon camera that would work best with Wi-Fi photo booth and my iPad Pro.
I was planning to buy a Canon T6 model.
Do you think that would be a good camera.

Thanks,
Neil.

Hi Neil,
If you're looking to save money, Wifibooth works with cheaper Canon Powershot cameras too. Many won't sync with strobe flash though, so you might need to use constant lighting if you go that route.
If you are going to buy Canon EOS, then the minimum camera to get is the T6i. There's a big difference between the T6 (aka 1300D) and the T6i (aka 750D). Do not get the T6, it is very slow.
There is a reason you might want to look at the 80D-level of Canon EOS: these allow you to have the live-view exposure different than the photo exposure, which you'd need if you're using strobe-flash (camera in manual mode) and you want to use the live-view/GIFs. If you get the T6i, and use strobe flash, you'll have to turn off live-view/GIFs...
So if you're using constant lighting, get Canon PowerShot or T6i.
If strobe, consider the Canon 80D

Hi Tim,
Thanks for the detailed information. So as per my understanding if I will buy a Canon 80d then I would be able to use a smooth live you mode and off-camera flash as well.
Is that correct?
If yes then I will borrow the canon 80d from my friend and try to use it with Wifibooth and off-camera flash.

Please confirm.

Thanks,
Neil.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your detailed information.
So as per my understanding if I buy a Canon 80d I would be able to use off camera flash (Speed light) and improved live mode.
Is that correct?
If yes then I will borrow a camera from my friend to test before purchasing a new camera.

Please confirm.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,
Neil.

Yes right. Good idea to borrow before you buy!

Did you test out your friend's camera, Neil? What did you think of it?

Hi HarlanRon ,
Sorry for the late reply.
I tested Canon 80d and it works perfectly fine so far.
Time to test DNP printer now.
