Hi tim,

Thanks for the super comprehensive answer. Being a developer myself, I do appreciate this a lot!

I like the idea of making the values configurable. It’s more like an advanced setting, that’s for sure, but you will gain the freedom to tweak things exactly for your camera.

As you mention the gh 5 is actually top notch. I was under the assumption that you‘re having a delay Config for each camera type but I guess it makes sense to have them by vendor.

This makes it even more helpful to tweak certain values specifically for my camera.

How much afford is this? If it‘s taking a day or 2, I’d say the win you will get is big enough. If it takes longer, maybe it‘s not worth it, even tho I’m kinda disagreeing with your statement that it takes ppl seconds to step to the PhotoBooth ;)

You're welcome!
Well, how about we make a deal: I'll take the time to add these "expert" settings to the settings part of wifibooth if you promise to:
1) beta test them (with Testflight / GH5) and give me feedback that they're working
2) write a new forum post explaining how to use these settings, which I'll set to sticky so others can find it. Bonus points falls du das Artikel auch auf Deutsch schreiben :D

Deal?

(In answer to your question in the video: i'm a native english speaker, lived in Zürich area for 8 years so I can speak & write german so-so)

OK, build 5720 is available on Testflight: it has a bunch of new settings in Settings app -> Wifibooth.
A couple of important points about how these new settings behave:
  • If you change the values of these settings, you need to restart Wifibooth app for them to take effect
  • The new settings only have any effect if both "slower camera" and "faster camera" are turned off
  • An empty setting ie. you delete the setting (change "3.0" to "") -- then you'll get the default again.

Hi.

I've tested the setup and send you an email with the debug's, some screenshots and some more infos. I made sure to turned the the option "slower/faster" camera off and restarted wifibooth each time I changed something.

Best
