Hello,
Is it possible to wire the ipad directly to the printer, without using a wifi function?
Using this type of cable for example:
wire printer
Re: wire printer
Yes. As long as the cable supports printing via airprint.
You can also use an ethernet cable if printer supports it

Re: wire printer
OK, thanks!
In the same spirit, is it possible to wire the camera directly to the ipad, and to use the ipad's wifi to connect the printer? Without having to use my iphone with sololink

Re: wire printer
No, not yet. Apple does not allow true USB connectivity to apps: we hope that they will unblock this in iOS 14 for USB-C ipads, so that we can build wired camera connectivity.
Also for printing with a wire please test it with your ipad in the Photos app. If it works there, it will work in wifibooth. If it does not work in the Photos app, then it will not work in Wifibooth.

Re: wire printer
It's a shame: /
Is there another reliable solution to connect the printer and the camera to the ipad via wifi, without having to stay near the photobooth with my iphone?
I am a wedding photographer and I am alone in marriage, I would like the photobooth to be autonomous without having to leave my iphone unattended nearby ...
Will a special module or a particular router be able to communicate the devices together?

Re: wire printer
Which printer?
For example if you have a DNP printer you can use their WPS module and wire it to the ipad via ethernet

Re: wire printer
I have a printer DNP RX1
Ok, so the camera connected in Wifi to the ipad and the ipad to wire in ethernet on the WPS Pro module will it work without needing to use sololink?

Re: wire printer
The WPS Pro supports ethernet.
I have not tested that configuration with wifi to the camera also though -- I assume the wifi is still active on the ipad in that configuration, but apple might route all the traffic over the ethernet cable isntead, which would mean you could not reach the camera. Not sure.
One thing to look for is to make sure whatever cable you buy for your ipad supports ethernet and power at the same time, so that your ipad can still be charging while plugged into ethernet.

Re: wire printer
I have a HP DeskJet 2633 and it doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Is it something special about the model of my printer or a common problem?
Re: wire printer
What are you plugging it into? the ipad? Via ethernet adapter or?
