Hello,
I'm trying to get the app working with an iPad on the NEX-6. Smart Remote is updated and the official Sony Play Memories app works correctly on the iPad.
When loading WifiBooth, the camera continuously disconnects and reconnects on the app and does not provide functionality. Suggestions?
Help with Sony NEX-6
Re: Help with Sony NEX-6
Sounds like an issue with wifibooth with this camera. I'm not familiar with the NEX-6.
I'll investigate this ASAP and get back to you.

Re: Help with Sony NEX-6
Hi Tim, thank you! Hopefully you experience the same behavior and can determine the cause.
Re: Help with Sony NEX-6
Update: I've discovered the problem and a fix is ready. I hope to upload the build to Apple tonight. If Apple approves it, it should be ready before the weekend. If they reject it (happens often for questionable reasons), the updated version will be available next week.

Re: Help with Sony NEX-6
Hi there, the update (4.0.1) is now available in the App store -- apple was quick this time
You might not be able to see the update until tomorrow (friday).
Please post back here and tell me if it works for you, thanks!

Re: Help with Sony NEX-6
Thanks Tim, I was able to get the update last night and connect successfully. Couple questions, recommendation on shooting mode and settings (seems things are most responsive in fully manual mode) and I did not see a setting to adjust the review photo time before taking the next set of photos (I'm recalling it's roughly 8 seconds).
Re: Help with Sony NEX-6
Great, thanks for letting me know it's working for you now!
I'm afraid I don't have a lot of experience with Sony, but for a booth setup where the light isn't changing over time (ie. you don't have a lot of sunlight that is changing) then manual would be what i'd start with.
By photo review time, I assume you mean the preview that's shown when you have Autopilot turned on. That's right, at the moment there's no way to adjust the review time for Autopilot. Are you finding that too short? too long?

Re: Help with Sony NEX-6
Makes sense; I'll probably start with 'Shutter' mode and assess responsiveness.
Yes, for autopilot mode; since the user edits the final image on the previous screen, I find the final review time to be excessive. At least in my case where I won't have a printer and thinking a group will stay for multiple 'sessions' before another group approaches.

Re: Help with Sony NEX-6
Ah ok, so you've got autopilot on collage (middle setting) ? Fair enough. I should make the timeout shorter for that case, what do you think, 3 sec?

Re: Help with Sony NEX-6
That's correct. Hard for me to say, I only messed around with it for 15 minutes. Ideally you could specify in the settings but it felt too long after the collage on the previous screen.
