Can't Connect

Postby Indigomouse6 » Thu May 26, 2016 6:31 pm

I'm using the built in wifi on my Canon 70D. I followed all the directions to connect via a shared wifi network. The iPad is connected to the wifi network, and my camera is connected, but I never get the message on the camera that asks me to accept WiFi booth or the iPad. How to I get WiFi booth to see my camera?

What is the network they are connected to?
It needs to not be filtering out upnp.
Your camera is in infrastructure mode, connecting to the same wifi as the ipad right?

Yes, that's correct.

I will have to check on the network. That may be the problem.

Your phone probably has a hotspot function.
Otherwise any normal wifi router should work

Okay, I got my IT guy to come help with a wifi router. We got the camera to see WiFi Booth, and it said it was connected, but the photos never showed up in the app.

He looked up the router, and it says is is not upnp capable. Is this the problem, or is it something else at this point?

Hi there,
We discovered a really nasty bug in WiFi Booth 2.3.0 and 2.3.1. If you are using one of these versions, that might be the problem. The fix, which is coming in 2.4.0, is currently being reviewed by Apple. I hope they will approve it today, which should mean you can get the update tomorrow.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Yes, upnp needs to be supported. But most routers can do it even if they say they cannot...

Hi everyone, apple just approved 2.4.0 moments ago. It should be available as an update in the App Store at latest tomorrow.
Please update and post your feedback here. Thanks!
