App not connecting to wifi on 6d

I have carefully followed your steps on using my iPad as a personal hot spot. The iPad has 2 connections in the personal hotspot bar, the Canon Selphy and my 6d. I went through the steps on connecting with my camera it is now at the screen telling me to start the eos app on the smartphone. The Wifi booth app is asking me to start the connection on the camera. It seems the App is not finding my camera even though the blue bar has both connections. My camera is on infrastructure mode

Sorry you are having difficulty.
Just to check, on your Canon 6D, when presented with the 2 rows of three buttons for which type of wifi you are connecting to, you are choosing the top row middle button which looks like a smartphone, right?

I'm able to connect everything as my iPhone as a hotspot but I got a new plan with my iPad for this purpose

If it works when you connect everything to your iphone, but not when you connect everything to your ipad, then i dont understand what is wrong. Ipad and iphone make hotspots exactly the same way.
Try powering off your ipad and powering it back on?
Try double checking on your camera that it really is connecting to the ipad?

I gave it another run. Confirming the network my cameras connecting to. Hard reset on my iPad. I don't know what to say. Im leaning towards something to do with my cellular network on my iPad. Odd it seems to work with no problem connecting to my phone. I may just cancel the sim card on iPad and increase data on my phone.

Where it says Wifi:No connectivity shouldn't that say my internet sim provider?

if your ipad is the hotspot then wifi booth may not report correct results for wifi because it is looking to see what you are connected to.
Just an idea, what happns if you turn off your iphone and ipad and switch sim cards, then try with ipad as hotspot again?

Unfortunately the cards are different sizes. I'll run it off my phone this weekend at my wedding if it works well I'll probably run it that way for the summer.

Just a heads up: there is a bug in versions 2.3.0 and 2.3.1 which probably affects you - it would cause the camera not to connect.
Update 2.4.0 is in review with apple now and should fix the problem.

Just wanted to give you an update. I had an old airport extreme lying around the house. I have been hooking up to that router and 4 weddings in it has worked FLAWLESSLY! Your app rocks and guests are loving it
