Hey Tim,

Is this feature exclusive to built-in WiFi? For example, Nikon offers a plug-in attachment called WU-1b that allows the camera to connect to devices such as an iPad acting as a "wireless mobile adapter". Would the live view work with something like that?

Which cameras will work with the Live view
Did you get an answer to this? I want to have live view and to be able to trigger my camera through the iPad.

Am purchasing a Camera based on compatibility with iPhone. Stumbled on your app on the App Store. Need a camera for travel and have settled on canon G3 X. Every major camera brand has a horrible app interface with iPhone. Bought and returned a Nikon D 3400 because of total inability to pair with iPhone. Will take the G3 X bicycle touring. Will your app connect an iPhone 7 with the canon G3 X? Also have an Apple Watch and wish to be able to trigger the shutter using the watch. Please advise

Hi John,
At the moment unfortunately WiFi Booth doesn't work with the G-series Canons. BUT, i'm in the middle of something that would add support for this. So please ask your question again in 2 to 4 weeks. Remember the app is fully free to try, and if the trial version doesn't work, neither will the paid version.

Will this support any canons before the t6? Such as the t3-t5 and the t3i to t5i?

Sony, Canon and Nikon.
UPDATE Feb. 13 2017 -- Nikon live-view is now supported, as of wifi booth 3.4.0 (to be released Feb. 14 or 15, depending on Apple)

Canon camera before the T6 don't have wifi. How do you want to connect it to the ipad? Currently eyefi is supported. In the future camfi might be supported.

so I read that Panasonic, Fuji, and Olympus wifi cameras will be supported in version 4 to be released soon. Which models should work?
I am specifically interested in the following:
  • decent wide angle of at least 28mm equivalent,
ability to connect via infrastructure so it is easier to hook up a airprint printer to the system vs sony cameras that the ipad must to connect to the cameras hot spot.
AC adapter support so I do not have to change batteries.
Hot shoe so I can attach a real flash to the top
Bonus points for a lens that can take an adapter so I can use a protective uv filter in front
Extra bonus points if it's less than $300 on used market.
Seems like most wifi cameras are $400 or more new.

You're right to go after an wifi-infrastructure-mode capable camera, that makes things a LOT better. Especially if you want to offer live internet features (like twitter, or instant dropbox/email). However, the only brand that I know that supports infrastructure-mode wifi is Canon. Fuji, Sony, and Nikon definitely do not. I don't think Panasonic or Olympus do either.

My recommendation is to get the Canon 750D. Versatile, small, great image quality, fast enough for good live view. Not super cheap, but not super expensive either.

Yes I have the 750D/T6i, I'm actual preferring the canon M3, around $450. 4" long or 2.5" long with 22mm pancake lens which is awesome for making a compact system.

Hello,

I have been using Wifi Booth with an iPad Pro 12.9 works awesome. I want to upgrade to a Sony A5100 or A6000. I just want to clarify this setup will work.

Will the below work?
1) iPad Pro 12.9 (WiFi connected to WPS Pro)
2) DNP WPS Pro connected to DNP RX1HS (Connected via USB)
3) Sony Camera (WiFi connected to WPS Pro)

Can this support live view and auto print (autopilot) without using Blue Print? I am just trying to make my setup simple as possible.

I thank you in advance for being very supportive in answering all of our questions.
