WPS Pro IP not recognized

Postby BBPB » Fri Apr 16, 2021 7:48 pm

I have a DNP-RX1 HS printer and a WPS PRO for the server for my iPad running WifiBooth Pro. The WPS prints a test print just fine and the iPad recognizes it as the WiFi provider. When I try to connect a printer in WifiBooth, I select DNP WPS...it asks for me to enter the IP address of the WPS, which is located in the control panel and in the WiFi settings of my iPad, but after I correctly enter it, it says WPS Not Found, please check the IP address and try again. What am I doing wrong? And everything is up to date on the iPad and the WifiBooth app. Please help!!!!

Am not sure. Can you tell me if you put a browser on the same network as the WPS and browse to http://ipadresssOfWPS/ss.txt do you get a response? Like a number

It will connect but when I try to open a browser it says “server cannot be found”.

If you cannot browse to http://192.168.43.1/ or whatever your WPS ip address is, are you sure your network is connected properly? Or something else is wrong with WPS, can you reset it?

That all works and I have reset it several times. I have WifiBooth loaded on my iPhone and it will connect the printer through the WPS with no problem and it prints. The iPad is what is giving me trouble...every time I try to connect a printer in WifiBooth, it will not accept the IP address of the WPS, even though it is correct and it is showing it is providing the WiFi and the IP matches the iPad settings and the IP address showing in the systems menu of WifiBooth. What now?

My only guess is that maybe you manually configured the wifi on the ipad to some setting at some point, and this setting is still there and messing things up. If you go on the iPad to Settings App -> wifi -> touch the 'i' next to the wifi network it connects to --> do you see all settings on auto etc, or did you choose some manual settings at some point?

Otherwise as unlikely as it sounds, we've seen cases like these where simply truly powering off the iPad (swipe to power off) and booting back up again fixes it...

It was set to automatic. I uninstalled WifiBooth and reinstalled it and it worked like a charm. So weird!!! I got it fixed and thanks for the help and suggestions.
