Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
Hello i would like to start by saying this is my second problem with this app. First one being that it slows down printing speed. The representative of Wifibooth tried helping me but came to find out the app just slows down printing speed. Check your printer's manufacturer on the print speed and youll see that the app makes it go longer than your printers specs. Now my second problem is that all my prints are coming out cropped (zoomed in). I tried many of the different settings in the app. I tried "auto enhance", "downsize images to print resolution", "crop images to aspect ratio" all off and all on. I went to layout and collages "photo start zoomed in" setting on and off. Nothing seems to work. My i pad is updated, my printer is updated, the app is updated. Im at my wits end here. Please help before i give up on this app all together.
Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
Hi there
Printing over wifi is always slower - the app is printing as fast as iOS and your network speed allows.
If prints are zoomed in, can you please show us an example? Post on imgur for example.

Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
That is incorrect. When i print directly the print speed is exactly as the factory specs suggest. It is the wifibooth app that slows it. And ill send the pics right now.
Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
Directly from the photo gallery app on the ipod i mean or even through canon print app.
Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)

Try imgbb.com if imgur isn’t working for you - we can’t offer support over IG

Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
The one on the right is printed directly from canon print using the file that wifibooth creates when you tell it to print a collage. The one on the left is the same file but printed through wifi app
Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
OK interesting - which printer is this?
It looks as though the printer isn't resizing the print to the paper size which is what printers' default settings are. If you're able to reset the printer to its default settings that could help.
Can you also please check in Wifibooth settings you have paper size set to 4 x 6 and DPI set to 300?

Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
No unfortunately that did not help. And it is the canon ts8220.
Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
OK. I wonder if something is going weird with automatic paper selection on that printer.
Can you please try this: in the connect printer popover, turn on "Manual AirPrint". When you print with this on, you'll see the iOS popover. If you use that does it stop the over-zooming?

Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
Although i did notice when the ios popup comes up there is a paper size option that only allows letter format and disc format
Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
Trouble shoot complete. Found where in the ipad setting to make sure it read 4×6 format. Thank you and have a nice day.
Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
Excellent, glad you found it - can you tell us which setting this was? In wifibooth or in iOS or on your printer?

Re: Prints coming out cropped (zoomed in)
Long story short the printer needs to be set to read 4x6 from the tray feed. Long story (explanation) the printer's default setting is to read letter sized paper (standard printer paper size) which other apps like the photo gallery or canon print will automatically change for you when you tell it to print a 4x6 photo. The wifibooth app does not do this to the printer setting automatically. Which is why you need to go into the printer itself and tell it to read 4x6.
