Printing perplexed

Hi Tim, I apologize in advance if this has already been addressed. I didn’t see my specific issue. I’m using an iPad Pro, MacBook Pro 2012 and DNP printer with Printopia. Everything has flowed flawlessly until my first party a month ago after the pandemic shutdown. My iPad Pro wasn’t printing. I have connected everything at home to test it out and it’s still not printing. I could see the iPad Pro is communicating with my MacBook Pro bc the print job populates but nothing is coming out of the printer. What am I doing wrong? Was there a change somewhere along the line with Printopia that you know of? I am stumped.

Hi there,
Hmm that's very odd that it would just stop working! Could it be that you updated the version of iOS on the iPad, and that doesn't work with your print server (Printopia) anymore?

That’s what I was thinking too :(. I’m not sure of what else to use. These all worked so beautifully together. In reading another post, I do have a USB C iPad. Not sure if that’s creating an issue.

Hmm can the mac print ok to the DNP? Is that the part having the issue?

Oh I didn’t think of that. I’ll try that and see if that works.

Printing from my Mac didn’t work either. It’s recognizing the DNP as a regular printer for some reason. 4x6 paper size isn’t even an option.

Ok sounds like something changed on the mac. I’d hunt there!

Thank you for that. Now I have a starting point. Would a direct connection to my iPad work? Using the apple USB adapter to plug the printer into the iPad? I am networking challenged.

No. You could buy a DNP WCM though.
