Setting position of pics freely

Postby johannTBox » Mon Oct 15, 2018 5:02 pm

Hey Tim,

We have been playing around a lot and have perfect setups nearly all the time.

But to be really able to make all customer wishes possible with collages and layouts we think it is necessary to freely select the place where the picture or pictures are gonna end up.

For example being able to tilt them a little or making a 10x15 print look like its a Polaroid with positioning the picture in the upper middle and set all around white color.

You have probably thought about this as many other softwares work like that. What was your intention not giving this workflow?

Thank you!

It's on the list of things to do. There was never an intention to not do this, there simply wasn't time to do this yet. It's not just a few days' work.

wifibooth already has more template sizes than almost all other ipad apps.
the problem is it is not intuitive to use them.
if you want tilted photos just make an overlay with tilted photo openings.
if you want a polaroid image just adjust the margins on the bottom to be big and small on the other 3 sides.

Hey Aluminumwelder,

Thank you for your post. I agree that you have to dig in a little to understand how it is working. We are really satisfied with the results we are getting and there some awesome collages we created. But some special configurations are just not possible yet and customers were asking for them.

@Tim
With this said: a current customer just asked if it is possible on a 4x6 collage with 2 pictures to have the logo on Position Collage 1 and a free Space in Collage 4?

This is the collage I am talking about. The customer would like a blank space instead of the picture with the hot chicks ;) it's nothing I would do but the customer really likes the collage beackground.

Thank for your input!

Hey Johann,
Hmm, no that's not possible sorry ...
I do plan to improve templates/stuff like this in the near future! That would be a bigger release (ie 4.x -> 5.0)

Hey Tim,

Ok thank you. I figured that and already talked to the client that it probably won’t be possible. It’s also the first time somebody asked for that.

A second question:
Is it possible to have an all branded outcome of pictures? For example Wednesday there will be a casino night from a company and they really like our casino collage but also want the employees to be able to print 4x6 pictures with branding. Is it possible to have the 4x6 pics branded only when printed/sent separately?

Thank you!

Hi Johann
You're welcome.
Hmm, that's not really possible, but there's kind of a workaround: you could turn on the ability to make collages out of one photo (that's a setting on the event settings -> gallery screen) and manually make collages of the single photo... but that's not really what you want...
