Hi Tim, is sharing with AirDrop already on your list?

Hi Dalia
There are a number of reasons why airdrop isn’t om the list. Are you talking about sharing from the ipad? To guests’ phones, or yours (as the photographer)?

Yes, I want it to share from the iPad to guest phones.

Ok. The biggest issue with airdrop is that android does not support it - so 70%+ of your guests would not be able to use it. Best if your ipad has internet and you can use text or email.
For iOS users, did you know that if they install the app it will automatically find your ipad even without wifi connected? They can trigger the ipad and get their photos

I've tested the option with the guest-app right now and it works very well.

But unfortunately, i'm just looking for an alternative, if internet is not available. So the guests also can not download the Wifibooth app.

A good app like AirDrop for the guests who use Android is Instashare.

Well I guess Instashare has the same problem though -- if guests don't have instashare, they cannot download it if there is no internet available

Hi Tim,

You mentions that people can just download the wifibooth app and then can find the ipad to transfer photos. How is that done? I have tried it but was unable to find the ipad or vise vera. Are you referring to just using the built-in airdrop app?

No not airdrop: run wifibooth on an iphone near an ipad that is also running wifibooth. Make sure bluetooth is turned on for both devices
