I’m interested in both Boomerang and Slow Motion. Are both going to be available soon?

Boomerang is live in the app store (it's always on for MP4).
Slow motion is in the works, but depends heavily on framerate: most DSLRs connected over wifi cannot do the framerate required for this, so it would likely only work for ipad+iphone+sololink cameras.

My event MP4's are nowhere to be found.
I used an Ipad (WifiBooth) - Iphone 11(camera/ Sololink) set up. Settings were such that there was upload sharing via Gmail and Google Drive with MP4 switched on, along with Twitter posting. Both the iPad and iPhone were connected to the same personal hotspot, on a third (Android) phone. The Canon 1300 Selphy connected through Airprint. Email addresses were required. 3 poses per print, along with event graphic.
After the event, I looked for the MP4's Google Drive and also in the Photos on the iPad and iPhone. None there.

Another question: the guests wanted to edit the pics within the collage. I showed them how they can exit out of the email input dialogue and then go to the gallery, select the 3 pics just taken, then click on the collage followed by clicking on each pic to zoom and move the pic within the collage. When Done, they toggle the Print button on, which leads them to input their email address. The printing then happens next. When this editing step is done, I observe that the pics aren't being posted to Twitter. Whereas if the guests input their email addresses right away without exiting and then editing the pics, there is no posting to Twitter. Is there a way for editing to be allowed and also have those edited pics posted to Twitter?

About the magical screen / green screen effect, I find that a lot of the group shots have parts of the body like arms, legs and stomach missing. Has anyone found the best way to minimize the fading effect? I thought using my LED ring flash would brighten and help define faces and make edges more defined. But this did not work. Has anyone experimented with different colours for the magic screen feature?

Hi Ecarlos,

Very sorry to hear that. The top 3 reasons I can think of, why your MP4s were not recorded:
1) recording movies is turned off. You can check at Event Settings -> Taking Photos -> make sure "Create movies during countdown" is turned on.
2) the countdown is too short. Make sure your countdown timer is set to 3 seconds or longer
3) you're using iOS 13.0 or 13.1: these flavors of iOS 13 have a ton of bugs. Please update to iOS 13.3.

Re your question about twitter, it sounds like AutoPilot is turned on to FULL, is this correct?

Re green screen / SceneSelect: here are some tips to avoid body parts being cropped out of the photo:
a) make sure the background behind the subjects is not flesh-colored
b) when using props, avoid props that are extremely reflective/shiny & props that obscure the face so completely that a computer might not recognize it as a face anymore
c) make sure there is good separation from your subjects and the background. For example if your subjects are standing in front of a wall, make sure they are at least 2-3 feet in front of the wall (not lining up against the wall)
d) when arranging lighting, consider having at least one light be from the side (out of the plane of the camera), so that faces / bodies are at least partially lit from the side. You can use sunlight for this if you're by a window & there's sunlight available.
e) for larger groups of subjects, make sure the distance (from the camera's perspective) between the furthest-away face and the closest face is less than 25cm. For huge groups this won't be possible (turn off SceneSelect for those)

Hi again,
(Please also see my reply to your private message about MP4s).

Regarding your question about twitter: I think the confusion probably comes from the fact that when you edit & save an individual photo (not a collage), then the moment you hit Save, it is tweeted. But when you are editing a collage, it is not tweeted until you take an action on it (print it, email it etc). If you take no action on the collage, it won't be saved/tweeted, and you get a warning when you try to leave the collage screen without taking any actions.
Let me know if that's not clear, but basically: guests are expected to do something with the collage (print it, email it, sms it etc)

I'm just waiting for the iPad front cameras to support slow-mo. Hoping Apple will add it this year. When they do, i'll add support. At the moment I don't think it makes sense to add support for rear-only camera because I think hardly anyone uses ipad rear camera for the booth...
