A lot of people buy templates for use in their photobooth business. Some of these templates come with X,Y coordinate files which work with some pc software to automatically align the photos with the overlay template, but many do not.


It would be nice to just drop the overlay into wifibooth and have the software automatically figgure out the number of photos and their locations and set the app so the photos are automatically place in the right area.


I think SLR booth which is an android app is the only app that does this.

Do you have a specific PC software in mind that uses a file-format that at least one other app (made by a different company) can use? ie. not proprietary

several pc programs use a simple text file that has the x y coordinates like above website mentions
most are designed to work with 4x6 paper at 300ppi = 1200x1800 pixels
personally I would try to make it even more user friendly which is why I suggested the program automatically sense the openings. makes it much more idiot proof.

the only two ipad apps that allow for xy coordinate input are lumabooth and mobibooth. Ipix allow for custom layouts via eye balling it.

there might be others, last count there are over 20 ipad apps, I try to keep up with unique features.

Yup, the level of expressivity I see is about the same (or less powerful) than what i'm imagining for wifibooth.
I'm in the process of hiring the creative(s) needed for this...
