if you want to keep your ipad display at 100% brightness and keep the battery fully charged the only way to do this at an event is to use Apples USB C to lighting adapter cable together with a 15V 29W or higher power supply. This allows the ipad to fast charge

Using the regular cheap charger that comes with you ipad will not allow you to keep your battery close to 100% even when charged in.

Please note the fast charger only works with the 12.9 and 10.5" ipads.

Yep, I wish I had read this thread before yesterday !
My iPad dropped to 30% with the 12W adapter, and that was the limit where it stopped detecting my X-Pro 2.
I had to finish the event with the iPad pro front camera, which is really awful.

It is super fustrating to me too that apple did not include a good enough charger with this ipad, especially considering how expensive the ipad is
