Connecting Camera to App with Cord?

There is a possibility that I am without Wifi, so I'm wondering if I would be able to connect the camera to the app via a cord? Or is WiFi or EyE-Fi the only option?
It is not possible because of the restrictions from Apple.
As soon as it is possible it will get built
