Please Wait...

Postby hey » Fri Jan 24, 2020 3:50 pm

I don't know how to attach the screen shot I took, but I'm testing out the app after just purchasing the selfie package. Every time a photo or group of photos is taken, the "Please wait..." screen gets stuck instead of going straight to the gallery. The timer (below the please wait image) finally pops up on the bottom of the screen and counts down from anywhere from 20-50 seconds , but then the timer goes away and the screen STILL says please wait. After waiting several more minutes (hoping it might work), I have to force close the app and open it again just to get back to the camera function. The photos don't have a problem actually loading in the gallery. They are always there right away, but I can never just get back to the "camera" to take more pictures without completely closing and reopening the app... Can anyone help me with this? This was using the ipad camera, it's not even hooked up to a wifi camera yet. My wedding is in a week! I can't expect my guests to close and reopen the app every single time they take a picture.
*My app AND ipad have just had the most recent updates, and it still does not work.*

That sounds very unusual indeed.
Can you please tell me which iPad & iOS version you have?
If you are able to take a video of it happening with your mobile phone and post it somewhere (youtube or wherever you like), that would be extremely helpful.

Two things to try first:
1) power the ipad all the way off (slide to OFF), turn back on again
2) make sure there's enough storage space free (settings app)

Hey Tim,
Thanks for the quick reply. So my iOS is 13.3. I verified I have more than enough storage, about 100 gb.
Restarted the ipad by sliding the power off put-on. When I turned it back on and went into the app, I was in a new event generically titled wifibooth. The issue wasn't happening anymore.
When I went back to the event with a unique name that I created, it started to happen again. At fisrt I thought that it may be because of having multiple pictures taken at a time but that was not the case.
I force quit and reopened the app and had no issues with the wifibooth event again, and issues with my unique event again.

Thanks,

Hi OP
Thanks for the video. Never seen that before, definitely a bug in our app: sorry about this.
Are you able to show us some screenshots of your settings, when in the event that causes the issue? I am wondering if some setting somewhere causes this.
You could post the images on imgur or email them to me as you like. Or take photos of event settings screens with your phone if that is easier

The settings are the same for both of them :/

Hi OP,
I had a realization: at the very beginning of your video before you hit the shutter button, there is no video - no camera feed being shown. That is weird. Did you turn off live view on the home page (in the camera popover / top-left of screen) ? Do you see the camera video feed if you open the camera popover (top-left) ? Can you verify the camera popover is trying to use the device camera (ipad camera) ?

If it is working on one event and not another, what happens if you delete the event with the issue (swipe the event row from right to left) and recreate it... still the same issue?

Also i'm not sure how, but somehow all of those imgur links you posted seem to go to the same photo of the Wedding event's Gallery settings screen?
