Collage issue

Postby Anthonyg91 » Sun Apr 17, 2016 7:44 pm

Just updated the app rented for a week and never did anything. Figured there was a fluke somewhere, went ahead and purchased since i enjoyed how it was working. Now when I go to select a few photos for a collage there is a green box where the image should be. I have an event tomorrow and now there's no point to using the app like I planned.

Hi Anthony that's the first i've heard of that. The photos you are selecting, are they in the camera roll and can you see them in the Photos app ok?

Please try restarting the app by killing it (double tap home button and swipe it away)

Please also check your ipad is not out of space

Any luck?

Hey Tim,

I tried posting images to the post but not sure how.

Anyways, Im using an iPad pro 128 gig. Plenty off space. It shows up in the camera roll fine.

In the app, where you have the images in order to select from, I guess you can call them the thumb nails, they appear fine.

Once I select one to print or email or even select multiples it creates the collage but they are all green boxes.

I killed the app plenty of times and its still the same issue.

Well, as I am writing this I had three images selected. They were in the collage as three green boxes, I left it alone as I typed this. Now the images have appeared, seems like it took 2-4 minuets to load the collage preview.

Did it again and timed it this time. Takes 1 min and 5 seconds after selecting the 3 images to go from green box to actual image.

Edit: 1 image takes 15 seconds. 2 images takes about 25 seconds. 4 images takes about 40 seconds

Wow, that's very weird behavior. Can you try something for me: go to safari, and go save some photos from whatever random website you like, then open the Photos app and put them in the wifibooth album (that already exists). Can the app open those?

The photos that are taking forever to (not) load, how big are they? Where did they come from?

The app does the same with photos from safari. The photos i was trying earlier were from my camera (JPEG Basic).

Hi Anthony
I tried again to reproduce your issue and could not. I released an update today (2.1, build 3202). Can you please update and let me know if it changes? There's no specific fix for your issue but there are changes to image handling in general that might help
You can check which build of wifibooth you have by going to the Settings app, choosing wifibooth, and scrolling all the way to the bottom.
thanks

Ok. If you are willing to help me debug this by installing a custom build, i'll give you a couple free months. Email me at tim at the wifi booth . Com
