portrait modes new iphone 8 & X, comptable with wifibooth?

anyone know if the new portrait lighting modes available on the new iphone8 & x will carry over to the wifi shooting experience? or are those effects only work with iphone camera app and not 3rd party apps? like wifibooth?

As far as I can see, the data that a developer would need to build their own potrait mode is surfaced in Apple APIs in iOS 11. But just the data - there's no way I see to get the image with the effect already applied. I'm guessing that Apple is proud of their new algorithm and doesn't want to let other people use it ... yet. Perhaps we'll see it get added in the future...
