Connecting wifi

SoloLink is an iOS app that shares your printer(s) over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi so that you can stay connected to your camera and be able to print. It can also share your iPhone's camera to Wifibooth.

Connecting wifi

Postby MrMusick » Wed Mar 27, 2019 5:45 pm

Hey guys.

New here and I love the app and from what I see the WiFi connection is only used from my camera. How can I connect the camera, iPad, and possible printer to a router/WiFi for better and smoother functionality?

Hi there,
If you have a canon or panasonic then it can make an outbound connection to a router. Otherwise you can use the free blueprint app to use Bluetooth for internet or printing - see wifibooth.com for more on Blueprint
As an alternative you can use a remote iphone as the camera and connect everything to its hotspot!

Ok great. I have a cannon. I will have to figure how to make that connection so that the app doesn’t lag. Or is that something that happens often?

There are a lot of things you could be referring to by “lag” - please be more specific.
Does it help if you set the camera to take photos in a lower resolution like S?

My apologies. The app itself would at times take a while to process the collages. Like it freezes up and it’ll take a few minutes before you can share or print pictures. Also is there a tutorial how to connect The camera to WiFi and use the cameras WiFi for the iPad?

Hi there,
There is a Help section on wifibooth.com with searchable videos and articles. The app links to this in the right place - look for help links in the app, or a ‘?’ Icon (top left).
The app should not “freeze”, not even for a few seconds. Can you take a video with your phone of this happening on your ipad, upload it somewhere (ie youtube) and post a link?

I believe I have this figured out. I read the article and changed my camera settings and the app settings from auto focus. Now the only question I have is about the email and text being sent later. What is the cause of this and how do I fix it? I still have a text that hasn’t sent from over an hour ago

Sounds like you are connecting ipad wifi to the camera wifi. You wont have any internet access when you do that. Make the camera and ipad connect to a router instead.

Ok great. Is there a tutorial on how to do that? I’ve tried to do it but was totally confused.
