V4 - Wifi connect with Sony not working

With the last Update to V4 my Wifi connect with Sony DSC-HX400V is not working any longer.
It is always connecting. While switcheing between IPAD camera and wifi camera I have a short connection show, but without function and it drops a second later.
Any suggestions?

Sorry that the update has caused you a problem.
Please can you try updating the "Smart Remote app" on your camera. Please note this is NOT the same as the camera's firmware.
What version of the Smart Remote App do you currently have?

OK. I've identified a possible issue in Wifibooth v4 that is possibly causing this. Sorry. I just received a camera that should help me track this down.
Will update you here ASAP.

Update: I've discovered the problem and a fix is ready. I hope to upload the build to Apple tonight. If Apple approves it, it should be ready before the weekend. If they reject it (happens often for questionable reasons), the updated version will be available next week.

Hi there, the update (4.0.1) is now available in the App store -- apple was quick this time
You might not be able to see the update until tomorrow (friday).

i have the same problem with my camera Sony HX90V. The Remote App is the newest version.
The WifiBooth App is the Version 4.0.1. Before the update it works perfectly.

Ok. Sorry it is not working for you.
The problem you describe was exactly what was fixed between 4.0.0 to 4.0.1. Can you please try 4.0.1 again and describe exactly what happens? Please also make sure the cam has a memory card in it (easy to forget)

I am not able to get my RX100 m5 or my A7RII to work with the app. both are updated with their firmware. both have been updated with the latest SMART REMOTE CONTROL. I have made the .jpg images as small as possible.

The app connects to the camera and when I shoot using the button on the app it seems to take a picture. then i get a little pink dot for what seems like a full minute and the picture never shows up. there are no pictures in the gallery.

I have been at this a few days. can't figure get it to work. oh. I bought the selfie package and the camera has a memory card in it.

do you have any advice for me?

Ok sounds like there is still some issue with sony. Ill hunt it down and fix it this coming week. I am on vacation at the moment.

... oxbow one question about your sonys - does it work if you set wifibooth to only take one photo?

Hello Tim and oxbow,
I had the same problems as oxbow.
It works again!
I have uninstalled both apps and reinstalled them.
After that the connection worked again and I could again take pictures.

Thanks Paddy. Im hopeful that this sounds like a simple timing problem. I will get you a test build with a fix early this coming week if so.

Quick update for Oxbow & Paddy: there are 2 potential issues i'm aware of that could be causing your issue. They stem from the fact that Sony changed the way live view works on a6500, RX100 V and A9, and potentially A7RII.
I hope to get you a build by Thursday via testflight. You'll need to get signed up on testflight to receive it, see my earlier post.

@Oxbow: I tested the RX100 V, with firmware 2.00 and smart remote 4.30. It worked fine in version 4.0.1, the version that's been on the app store for some time. So, i'm not sure what problem you are having, can you give me specifics?
