Ok. If you go to event settings -> layout -> is the size set to 5x7? And is it locked to landscape? If so, does your printer have some setting that it is doing zoom?

These will probably sound like very silly questions, mostly, but 30 years of IT support experience have taught me to always ask the silly questions. Just for those rare occasions when the answer turns out to be, "...Oops. Never mind!" (I once solved someone's printing problems over the phone, by asking whether they'd remembered to plug the printer back in after they mentioned having moved it. "...Oops. Never mind!")

You're loading the paper according to Canon's instructions, right?
If you open up Print Center on the printer-connected iOS device while printing is in progress, what does that show for the job parameters? What does the output look like if you load a full-size Letter/A4 sheet into the printer's rear tray?
  • Tell the printer the truth about what's loaded, but leave Wifibooth set at 5x7.
  • (It almost looks like what you're getting is being sized for a full-page Letter/A4 landscape print.)

update: when i do my collage then print it from gallery it does print 5x7 without zooming as i set my printer to have 5x7 though when i print from wifibooth it wants the paper from the casette and is printing as letter

@Zoobaz I just want to double-check that for sure you see 5x7 in the event you have selected. Keep in mind that if you change the event, the paper size will change too (4x6 is the default)
Here is the screen you need to check: https://imgur.com/a/hzMtoew
Can you see the part I circled in red? If that says something other than 5x7, then that is why it is not working.

Can you try the following trick:
1. print a collage from wifibooth
2. now go back to that layout/size control and open it. Since you printed something Wifibooth will now tell you which paper sizes it detected are present, because this information is available from iOS *after* the first print. Perhaps what is happening, is that the separate paper try is not detected by iOS until after the first print. Perhaps you can now select "5x7 (Available)" which is going to route to the correct tray.

@FeRDNYC I appreciate your help here too! Thank you.

At that link you provided, I cannot see your "taking photos" setting screen.

Did you see that 5x7 was listed as "Available" after your first print, per my last post?

You are making great progress, almost there.
In the print popover, try setting “RIGHT INSET” to 30. You will need to play with it to get it right for your printer. Or, if your printer can turn off overscan then that is easiest

@FeRDNYC I appreciate your help here too! Thank you.

Happy to! Printing is kind of my wheelhouse, all the way back to my very first paid programming gig. :geek:

That being said,
If you open up Print Center on the printer-connected iOS device while printing is in progress, what does that show for the job parameters?

...I'm as shocked as anyone, finding out this actually proved to be a useful troubleshooting step. :o

Good luck, @Zoobaz! Sounds like things are pretty much coming together now. Hopefully with the adjustments Tim suggested for the print inset parameters, your print layout will be all set. (And even more hopefully, still in time for your event?)
