Hi Charles,
Sure, there are software solutions for the mac: as long as the software emulates an airprint printer, it should work with wifibooth. I assume you have a DNP printer since you said "wps". If I remember right, someone on the community used "printopia" on a mac, can't remember, you could search the forum

Hi Tim,

Thanks will look into that.

Can you check my setup if this would be good.

Canon M50
DNP RX1HS
Mac Mini
iPad

For me latency and flow is important. As when you are getting paid for a gig downtime isn’t acceptable. And in front of the clients-it doesn’t look professional.

Do you think there will be latency in the Mac mini as AirPrint?

Thanks

Hi Charles,
If you want minimal latency then i'd suggest you consider the approach that DNP recommends, which is purchasing a DNP WPS unit.
Adding the complexity of the mac mini + additional software on the mac has the potential to make things more complicated.

dnp just released a new printer. looks like it might support direct prininting from an ipad via airprint? I assume that is why they now have the odd 4.5" paper width. a 4.5" x6" print would be the same proportions as the ipad camera.

I guess I can't embed youtube on this forum??

Correct, no HTML/embedding is allowed because of security & abuse concerns (ie. explicit/copyrighted videos).

That new printer looks very neat, thanks for posting! Re direct connectivity, that depends on what the "optional DNP wireless accessory" actually looks like when it comes out. Looking forward to hearing about this more, i'll email my contact at DNP.

I already heard back from my contacts at DNP.
Great news, that "optional DNP wireless accessory" was described to me in detail. It is going to work out of the gate with Wifibooth very well.
Looks like a great option.

That's really great to hear! I'm going to be at PBX2020 in a few weeks' time and I will ask them when the wifi accessory is going to be ready.
Will let you know if they tell me. Price-wise, my guess is they cannot price it higher than the existing WPS PRO, which tells you what the max price of the accessory should be.
