What Information is collected, and how is it used?

Wifibooth.com, owned and operated by Solodigitalis Inc. (henceforth referred to as the developer) makes use of cookies and Google Analytics.

Cookies are an industry standard and most major web sites use them. A cookie is a small file that is placed on your computer as a way to remember your preferences. You may opt-out by using the settings of your browser to refuse the use of cookies, but please note that this may have a negative impact on the functionality of Wifibooth.com.

Wifibooth.com uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google Servers. For example, if a report shows that a large portion of website visits come from California, a contracted third-party may be engaged to create an advertising campaign that is focused on California.

iOS APPS

What Information is collected, and how is it used?

Wifibooth and SoloLink apps (henceforth referred to as the application), owned and operated by Solodigitalis Inc. (henceforth referred to as the developer) make use of several third-party data providers which collect information:

In general, the third-party providers used by the application will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to the application. However third-party service providers have their own privacy policies in respect to the information the application is required to provide to them. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

When you use the application without connecting any third-party accounts and without using the Wifibooth Service, it collects non-personally identifiable information. Here are some examples:

  • Anonymous device-type information, such as “iPad 2 Mini”
  • Anonymous runtime information, such as “320MB memory free”
  • Which version of the application you are using
  • Anonymous information specific to application crashes, such as which line of the code was being executed when the crash occurred

If you choose to connect your Dropbox, Twitter, Twilio, or Facebook account(s), then the additional information required to perform the relevant application functionality is collected. Examples of this additional information include:

  • Facebook ID, such as “123456789012345”
  • The name registered with the Facebook account, such as “John Appleseed”
  • Any Facebook data required to publish photos to the Facebook location(s) specified by you, if you enable this feature in the application

Wifibooth Service

If you choose to use the Wifibooth service, then the following additional information is collected:

  • Email address
  • The media files (photos, videos etc) sent via SMS/MMS

What is done with this information?

Non-personally identifiable information: this information is used to improve the application, by becoming aware of crashes and issues in the application and using the information to fix them.

Wifibooth Service

How do I withdraw my consent?

You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the application, and contacting the developer on the Wifibooth community forums, here: http://wifibooth.com/community

How is this Information shared, and to Whom?

Non-personally-identifiable (anonymous) information may be aggregated into reports that are used exclusively by the developer and/or selected third-parties contracted to the developer, for the sole purpose of improving Wifibooth.com and the iOS apps listed in this privacy policy; this includes marketing, advertising, support, and related services. For example, if a report shows that a large portion of website visits come from California, a contracted third-party may be engaged to create an advertising campaign that is focused on California.

Personally-identifiable information is never given to third-parties, with one exception: we may disclose collected information if we are required by law to do so.

Where is this information stored and secured?

Anonymous analytical data as described above is stored on the Google Analytics service.

Other information collected (including crash reports) is stored on Google FireBase. The account used by the developer to access Google FireBase is secured using a strong password as well as two-factor authentication. For more information please visit http://firebase.google.com. Some information (including crash reports) is stored on Fabric. For more information please visit http://fabric.io

Can I use the Application without my data being collected?

SoloLink app: You may choose to not sign into the Wifibooth service, in which case the app will not collect any personally-identifiable information. It is not possible to use SoloLink without non-personally identifiable data (see above) being collected.

Wifibooth app: If you open the Settings App, scroll down to Wifibooth, you can turn on the setting “Disable analytics”. You must restart Wifibooth for this to take effect.

This setting prevents the app from transmitting analytical data to Facebook, Dropbox, and Twitter. It also disables Google Firebase Analytics. Please note that crash-reporting is not affected by this setting, which means that data reporting per Fabric and Google Firebase privacy policies remain in effect even when this setting is turned on.

Also please note: when this option is on, the following functionality will be disabled in the application: all Facebook, Dropbox, and Twitter functionality.

The Right to be Forgotten

The data that you store on the Wifibooth Service, including your email address and media and all other data that the Wifibooth Service stores, can be completely deleted at any time.

Wifibooth app: To delete your account & data, go to Event Settings, Wifibooth page, sign in if you are not already signed in, and then touch the “Delete all data” button. Please note that this cannot be undone.

SoloLink app: To delete your account & data, use the Sign Out button on the home screen of the app.
